“Singing in Tongues” Reviewed by The Guardian and Listed in The New Yorker’s Notable Recordings of 2021

Piia Komsi’s live recording of Liza Lim’s Mother Tongue, a song-cycle for soprano (Komsi) and 15 instruments, is one of the works included in Lim’s acclaimed new album Singing in Tongues. The Guardian’s Andrew Clements calls it a “deeply impressive collection”, and The New Yorker has included the album in its “Notable Recordings of 2021”.
